Apr 11,  · Quincy Jones - The Dude (), what do we want more musically. I don't know if the L.A session scene was bursting with creativity with the likes of Louis Johnson, John Robinson, Ian Underwood, Jerry Hey, Steve Lukather, Greg Philinganes and company or Mr. Jones is truly a genius himself, with no additional explanation, but one thing can affirm with precision, this album 4/5().

Just put this album on, and let the entire thing play from start to finish and EXPECT TO WIN. This to me is Quincy's best album, the sidemen were in a zone, and the song selection is even more impeccable than "Thriller" because of the tight cohesion and consistency of mood throughout. This is Q. This is "The Dude."/5().

An enormous commercial success, 's The Dude is a cross-cultural success blending jazz, Latin music, soul ballads, and straight pop into an admittedly slick but never over-produced or soulless stew. The album opens with a surprise: "Ai No Corrida" is a synthesizer-driven yet still-funky Latin dance track written by Chaz Jankel of Ian Dury & the Blockheads, suggesting that .

QUINCY JONES featuring JAMES INGRAM Just Once (Scarce Japanese wide centred promo sample vinyl 7" for the single release, also including The Dude. Complete with the unique picture / lyric insert which displays a little age yellowing, the vinyl itself looks barely played nestled inside a custom printed envelope style sleeve AMP).
